Performance, Monitoring
and Reporting

Our Global Mining Group has a vast toolbox of products, services, personnel, expertise, and reporting to help a mining operation reduce their overall cost while maximizing production safely.

To manage a mine site tire program effectively, tire and wheel inventories must be closely monitored, whether they are mounted (i.e. in-service) or in storage awaiting installation.

Purcell Tire utilizes tire tracking software to monitor the performance of tires at numerous sites. There are two main purposes to track tires. First, it provides an inventory control and tracking system. Second, tracking data can be used to provide analytical information to help managers understand tire performance, identify problems, identify areas for improvement, and other key indicators that would extend the life of tires.

Continually reviewing the tire performance enables the operation to monitor activities, performance, cost, and areas of continual improvement.

This includes:

  • In-Service Tires and Spare Tire Inventory
  • Total Tire Hours, Hours per Tread Depth Unit, and Cost per Hour
  • Out of Service – Cause for Removal Analysis (Worn Out and Damaged)
  • Preventive and Actual Tire Maintenance Metrics
  • Retread and Repair Performance
